How to Add Subscriptions to Groups in the Setup Wizard #

1. Open Step 7: Subscriptions in the Setup Wizard 0:00

  • Go to the Setup Wizard.
  • Open Step 7: Subscriptions.
  • Choose the group you want to configure first.
  • If the class does not need subscriptions, select No Subscriptions to Add and skip the rest of the setup for that group.

2. Add a new subscription to a group 0:46

  • Click Add a New Subscription.
  • Choose the subscription type that matches the group’s billing model.
  • In the example, the subscription is set up as a Class Subscription because it pays for actual class sessions.
  • Enter the subscription name/plan, such as a Beginner Subscription Plan.

3. Set the billing details and description 1:08

  • Enter how many weeks the class runs per year.
    • Example: 47 weeks.
  • Add a clear description of what the subscription covers.
    • Example: 47 sessions over 12 months.
  • Set the next billing date.
    • Example: payments come out on the 1st of the month.
  • The system will pro-rate the payment based on the remaining sessions until that billing date.

4. Understand the different subscription payment types 1:55

  • Class Subscription
    • Pro-rates by sessions.
    • Best when the subscription pays for class attendance.
  • Membership / Not a Class
    • Pro-rates by day instead of by session.
    • Useful for membership-style plans.
  • No Upfront Payment
    • No pro-rating is taken.
    • The full amount is charged on the next billing date.
  • Annual Subscription
    • Lets you choose the start month.
    • Nothing is charged until that selected start date.
  • Full Subscription Payment
    • Charges the user immediately when they join.
    • Then renews one year later from the chosen date.

5. Save the subscription to the group 2:56

  • After choosing the correct subscription type and settings, click to add/save it.
  • Confirm that the subscription now appears on the group.

6. Copy the subscription to other groups 3:09

  • Select the subscription you just created.
  • Use the option to copy it into other groups.
  • Choose any additional groups that should use the same subscription.
  • Save the changes.
  • This helps you apply the same subscription setup across multiple groups quickly.
