How to Set Up a Pay-As-You-Go Parent and Toddler Class #
1. Create the base class 0:00
- Add a new class called Parent and Toddler.
- Choose the child icon.
- Enter a short description and a longer description.
- Set the category to Gymnastics.
- Leave the award syllabus blank.
- Mark the class as active.
- Set the class to public so customers can book from the front end.
- Leave remove from other waiting lists set to No so people can stay on other waiting lists if needed.
- Save the class.
2. Create the recurring pay-as-you-go group 1:30
- Open the Parent and Toddler class.
- Add a new group.
- Choose Recurring Pay-As-You-Go.
- Name the group something like Monday 9am.
- Optionally add any products or extras customers should buy with the booking.
- Keep the group active and public.
- Decide whether to use a unique email confirmation for this group.
- This is useful if the group needs its own custom booking email.
- Set Send to waiting list to No.
- Allow booking 4 weeks in advance.
- Leave Use date selector blank for this example.
- Add an image and a short description for the group.
- Save the group.
3. Add the session time and pricing 3:34
- Add a time slot for Monday at 9:00am.
- Leave age from/to blank unless you want to restrict the age range.
- You can also use date of birth ranges if needed.
- Set the capacity to 10.
- If needed, split capacity by gender.
- Set the price to £10 per session.
- Set the start time to 9:00am.
- Set the duration to 60 minutes.
- Add the location.
- Leave class add-ons as No for this example.
- Save the time slot.
4. Review the class on the front end 4:40
- Return to the home page.
- Open the Parent and Toddler class.
- Confirm the image and description display correctly.
- Click Book Now.
- Select a user.
- Verify that booking is only available for the four-week window you configured.
- Select one or more sessions and complete the booking.
5. Optional: enable the date selector for future-dated bookings 5:15
- Edit the group.
- Turn on Use Date Selector.
- Save the changes.
- Go back to the booking page.
- The customer can now choose a future date first, then see the available sessions around that date.
- This is especially useful for things like birthday parties or other bookings far in advance.
